Export Standard Wooden Boxes / ISPM 15
ISPM 15 (International Standard for Phytosanitary Measures No. 15) is an international phytosanitary measure developed by the International Plant Protection Convention (IPPC) that specifies requirements for the treatment of wood packaging material (WPM) in international trade. The purpose of ISPM 15 is to prevent the spread of pests that could potentially harm plants, forests, and ecosystems.
If you are exporting wooden boxes or packaging internationally and need fumigation certificates, you should follow the requirements of ISPM 15. This may involve having your wooden boxes or packaging treated with approved methods, such as heat treatment, methyl bromide fumigation, or other methods that are effective in killing pests. You should also ensure that your wooden boxes or packaging are properly marked with the appropriate ISPM 15 logo to indicate that they have been treated in accordance with the standard.
It is important to note that different countries may have their own requirements for the import of wooden boxes or packaging, in addition to the requirements of ISPM 15. You should check with the relevant authorities in the destination country to ensure that you are complying with all applicable regulations.
